Knox Rugby Celebrates New Sponsor South Sea Horizons and Gains New Player!

Alan Manning OKG 99 has joined the club after being a professional player representing the Waratahs for 27 games and 60 First grade matches with North’s Rugby Club.

This is another fantastic story in the truly remarkable rise of Knox Rugby Club that has now been playing week in week out in the highly competitive First Division Suburban Rugby Competition for five seasons and has won 4 Premierships and a club championship in this time.

Alan's commitment to come back to "grass Roots" rugby is a sign that even in the professional era there is room to enjoy the simple pleasures of lacing up the boots on a track like Barra Brui and enjoy playing rugby with fellow school mates and players from all walks of life.

A big reason for Alan not continuing the lure of professional contract overseas is to focus on his thriving business South Seas Horizons. Alan has come on board as a major sponsor at the club and is keen to build on his business within the local community. South Sea Horizons offers Kokoda Track tours of high distinction and some of the best surfing tours in the world capped off with Sport-fishing tours (estuary and bluewater) as a specialty which Alan takes great pride in telling us how many huge fish he has caught.
