A bold new era for Knox Rugby
It is with great pleasure that the 2010 Executive Committee can announce a bold new move to Koola Park for Season 2010 as a trial period.
You may or may not be aware but the long term vision of the club was to ensure viability and gain access to two ovals to play home games at. The Bru has been a fortress over many years but to compete and stay in 1st division it was clear we needed the ability to play Colts at 1pm and 5th grade later in the morning so the elder statesmen of the club could attend kids sport in the morning.
The later start for game days also will ensure players hang around longer and support our first graders and really build the day into a highlight with a bigger crowd, atmosphere and a club culture where we all support each other.
Although this is a trial period the move to Koola really opens the door to the planned 5 year proposal and capital raising planning in place to build our own club house and facilities that trully represent a top 1st division club.
It is a very exciting time at the club with a new committee, Advisory Board, coaches and a host of new faces and colts coming through the ranks.
Get down to Koola for the 17th of April for a massive first home game at "The Village Green".
